Where to Travel in November
See our list of the best places to visit in November.
Florida

Hungry for nature-viewing ops? Head to the Sunshine State. You won’t need binoculars to take in the sight of wintering birds making a pit stop along a major migration corridor within Florida’s Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, located near Cape Canaveral. See a colorful gathering of pink roseate spoonbills that call the estuaries within the refuge home in November. The wildlife refuge is one of several outdoor respites you can enjoy beyond Orlando’s theme parks. And once the kids start clamoring for Mickey and Minnie, head to Walt Disney World — mid-November through mid-December is one of the best times to visit.

Virginia and North Carolina

The last weeks of fall are here; don’t let them pass by without one last glimpse of the season’s colors. This month, fall foliage’s most vibrant colors have typically come and gone in the northern states, so head south! Just make sure it’s in early November. Take a road trip along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Also enjoy a look at fall foliage in Virginia, where the changing leaves are still in vibrant bloom through the first week (in Central Virginia) and mid-November (in Eastern Virginia).
Cayman Islands

Ahoy, me hearties! Grab your baddest bandana and thickest mascara (yes, you too, gentlemen), and head to the Cayman Islands for the annual Pirates Week Festival. The 11-day festival showcases lively street dances, games, music, local food and drink, parades, sports events — lots of paddle-boarding fun, marathons and more — and even fireworks. In your downtime, see more things we like in Grand Cayman. Plus, take in oceanic wonders like Stingray City, then rest up at The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman.
