Established in Addis Ababa in 1996, Dedebit is also reported to be considering a move to another regional State since it will not be able to pay any player more than 25,000 birr due to financial difficulties it currently undergoing.

The club was established in Addis Ababa around Laghare, and it joined the EPL for first time in 2010 and won club’s first knock out cup the same year. It was also the champion of the 2012 EPL season, two years since it joined the league.
