Sit down for 5 minutes, and then measure your pulse for 1 minute. You don’t have to swallow or chew the food, just get a good taste of it. Wait for another minute and check your pulse again. If your pulse increases or drops by 4 or more beats per minute, you might have a reaction to the food you tested.
